Document mode takes page after page on its own, up to three shots per page are merged for sharper text, and TruScan tells you if a page came out blurry. Passport and ID photos

30 official photo specifications for 15 countries and the Schengen area — passports, visas, residence cards and national ID cards. The camera guides you live: face size, level, lighting, background. Official photos are never retouched, because the authorities forbid it; TruScan only crops and sizes them to the rules, as a print sheet or a file for online forms.

The issuing authority decides acceptance. TruScan measures your photo against the published specification and tells you what it measures; it does not guarantee approval. Always check the current requirements of the authority you are applying to.

Your scans stay yours

Nothing you scan leaves your device unless you sign in and turn on cloud sync, or you choose to enhance a photo with AI. iOS Data Protection keeps TruScan’s closed files unreadable while your device is locked, and the app lock also takes your scans out of search. Synced scans can be encrypted on your device with your own passphrase and recovery code: we cannot read them, or recover them if both are lost. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
